Finnish Second World War drama set in Russian Karelia, near the Finnish border. Lieutenant Eero Perkola (Peter Franzén) is sent on a reconnaissance mission behind enemy lines, leaving his fiancée Lotta Kaarina Vainikainen (Irina Bjorklund) behind to serve in the Women's Auxiliary Corps.
